About Burjeel Medical City, Abu Dhabi

Burjeel Medical City (BMC) is the flagship hospital of Burjeel Holdings, located in Mohammed Bin Zayed City, Abu Dhabi. It is a quaternary care hospital - the highest tier of medical care that exists, handling complex, multi-system, and rare cases that exceed the capacity of tertiary hospitals. Opened in 2020, the campus spans 1.2 million square feet with 400+ beds, 60+ ICU beds, and more than 60 medical specialties.

Two accreditations define BMC's clinical identity. JCI (Joint Commission International), the global gold standard for hospital quality. And ESMO (European Society for Medical Oncology) accreditation for its Integrated Oncology and Palliative Care Center - making it the first and only ESMO-accredited integrated oncology and palliative care center in the UAE. The Burjeel Cancer Institute at BMC is the UAE's first ESMO-accredited Integrated Oncology and Palliative Care Center.
