Dr. Aditya Gupta is the esteemed Chairperson of Neurosurgery & CNS Radiosurgery and Co-Chief of the CyberKnife Centre at Artemis Hospitals, Gurugram. A gold medallist and top graduate from AIIMS New Delhi, he completed both his MBBS (1994) and M.Ch. in Neurosurgery (1999) from the same institute. Dr. Gupta began his career as an Associate Professor at AIIMS before moving on to co-found the Institute of Neurosciences at Medanta. Since 2016, he has been leading Artemis’ neurosurgical team, bringing decades of experience and clinical excellence to the institution.

With over 32 years of professional experience, Dr. Gupta has performed more than 10,000 brain tumor surgeries and over 6,000 radiosurgery procedures using advanced systems like Gamma Knife, CyberKnife, and LINAC. His surgical expertise spans a wide spectrum of complex neurosurgical areas including brain and spine tumors, epilepsy surgery, deep brain stimulation (DBS), brachial plexus and peripheral nerve surgeries, and cerebrovascular procedures for aneurysms and arteriovenous malformations (AVMs).

Dr. Gupta’s global credentials include specialized training from institutions like the University of Amsterdam, Hôpital Pitié-Salpêtrière in Paris, University of Marseilles, Wake Forest in the USA, University of Kiel in Germany, and CJW Medical Center in Richmond, Virginia. He is a respected academic voice with over 40 research publications and book chapters, and has received prestigious accolades such as the Sir Dorabji Tata Award, BOYSCAST Fellowship, and the Chief of Army Staff Award. Dr. Gupta continues to be a key figure in international neurosurgical conferences and an inspiration in the field of minimally invasive and radiosurgical neuroscience.
