Dr. D.K. Jhamb is a distinguished interventional cardiologist with over three decades of experience in the field of clinical cardiology. Currently serving as the Chief of Cardiology (Unit IV) at Artemis Hospitals, Gurgaon, Dr. Jhamb has earned national and international recognition for his groundbreaking contributions to interventional procedures. A graduate of Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC) and a postgraduate from Delhi University, he completed his DM in Cardiology from AIIMS, New Delhi, one of the premier medical institutions in India.
His expertise covers an extensive range of cardiac procedures, from coronary angiography and angioplasty to advanced interventional techniques such as TAVI (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation), Micra pacemaker implantation, Mitral Clips, and RF ablation. He has conducted more than 50,000 coronary angiograms and 25,000 angioplasties and is known for implanting over 2,000 devices including ICDs, biventricular devices, and pacemakers.
Dr. Jhamb has been actively involved in cardiac care development, having played a pivotal role in establishing cardiology departments across several top-tier hospitals including Escorts and National Heart Institute. He regularly lectures at international conferences and has received several awards for his work, including recognition from the American College of Cardiology and European Society of Cardiology.
